IDEA Centre Workshop: The Ethics of Human-AI Relationships

Elvira Perez recently attended an IDEA Centre workshop in Leeds entitled 'The Ethics of human-AI relationships'. Following the workshop Dr Luke Brunning, a lecturer in applied ethics at the University of Leeds coordinated an Open letter calling for regulatory protections against AI on dating apps. Elvira and RDF core group member, Alfie Harriet are both signatories on the Open letter.  The Guardian newsletter has since published an article 'AI ‘wingmen’ bots to write profiles and flirt on dating apps' which highlights the Open letter.
